Chair of Governors’ Letter to Windhill Primary School’s families and friends
AutumnTerm 2026
On behalf of the Governing Body, thank – you for visiting our school social media. We hope you enjoy finding out about the achievements of our pupils, staff and families here at Windhill Primary.
It’s been a busy time at Windhill Primary School since everyone came back after the Summer break.
It was a surprise and a pleasure to welcome Ofsted Inspectors to school during the 2nd week in September!
Sometimes, in life, moments happen that take on huge significance.
The other morning, the sun was shining through the window and the sun’s rays shone through the crystals we have
hanging in our window. The white light shone through the prisms and split (refracted) into the many colours that we usually call the colours of the rainbow. Little rainbows appeared all over our room.
It made me think about how children come into school, all down the same path, then split up by going to different places, going to different teachers, spending time wi
th different friends, playing different games, learning different things throughout each day.
As a school community, we aim to give Windhill pupils lots of different high-quality curriculum and extra-curriculum experiences to help their personal development, to develop their personalities and characters and to prepare them very well for their next steps in life. As ever, we are so grateful to our families for all of their invaluable support.
The prism will always remind me of the potential that we all have to do different things in life, to be courageous and to live each day to the fullest.
As always, it will be a pleasure to welcome you to Windhill Primary School, and we would love you to meet our wonderful children, families and staff.
