Positive Learning Behaviours
At Windhill Primary School, we are excited to introduce six new Positive Learning Behaviour characters. These characters will be used to guide children through their learning and help them further understand what qualities they need to be the best learner they can be.
The staff and school council were all involved in deciding the six learning behaviours to take forward.
MOTIVATED REFLECTIVE RESILIENT INQUISITIVE CREATIVE INTERDEPENDENT
We launched one assembly each week to introduce the agreed learning behaviours. The children were extremely keen and started to spot positive learning behaviours that others in school were displaying.
In classes, we discussed what each character would need to have to meet the requirements of the type of learner.
Every child had the opportunity to participate in a competition to design a character that would represent each Positive Learning Behaviour.
At the beginning of this year, the school council chose the six winning designs, which have now been completed by DS Creative.
Each week, one character will be revealed in assembly and the winning child will be celebrated for their fantastic achievement.
